Gaming Laptop FAQ

What's different about gaming laptops?

Gaming laptops come with dedicated graphics cards that are designed for gaming, they typically have higher specifications and can usually be used for other business softwares. Everyday machines will struggle to run modern games even on lower settings so if you plan on gaming, you'll definitely need a laptop built for the task.

What should I look out for when buying a gaming laptop?

Specification: First you need to check if the laptop can run the games you want to play, check the recommended specs before you buy.

Battery Life: An important aspect to think about is the battery life. Higher refresh rates, graphical fidelity and even CPU can have a big impact on how long you can use it for before needing to recharge.

Storage: We recommend you use SSDs to play your games and a larger HDD to store everything else. SSDs have no moving parts so run cooler & have much faster transfer rates which help reduce loading times.

What Does Refurbished Mean?

Refurbished means a product has gone through a thorough process to ensure it functions properly. All products are checked thoroughly and are checked again before dispatch.

How Does Grading Work?

To find out more about the condition of the products, visit our grading criteria page.

What Warranty Do Your Laptops Have?

Our own in-house limited hardware warranty (RTB) which comes with each product, is individually stated on the individual product listing (this includes the AC charger which ships with our orders, where applicable).

The limited hardware warranty does not include software support, nor does it cover you against any accidental damage; nor the theft or loss of your device. The consumable parts (including the laptop battery) will have a 30-days RTB warranty with us only.

Why Is There More Than One Of The Same Model Listed?

A product of the same model may have a separate listing to another product of the same model. This can happen for several reasons, including but not limited to: the condition of each product is different; the technical specification of each product is different.

How Will My Order Be Delivered?

You will not be able to choose the options of leave at a safe place or with a neighbour, due to the value of the goods sold. You will be able to collect your order from a DPD parcel shop if are unable to be in for your delivery, you will need ID to collect your order. DPD may occasionally deliver your order to a parcel shop if you are not in, rather than retry delivery.
