Item Condition:

A great condition lightly used Macbook, working well; checked & tested by our technicians (the photos show the general condition). Has a 3-month RTB warranty with us. May have Apple warranty until Dec 2022 (see photo 3). Sold on the VAT Margin Scheme (VAT cannot be claimed back). Mac OS shows under 15 battery cycles. The screen looks good. Inside looks good too (may be some very slight signs of use). The outside casing looks great too (may have some small marks on the lid, base, sides but very slight); these are cosmetic wears only. The original box has some noticeable wears/marks. Delivery via the fully-insured DPD service (for your peace of mind).

We include a 3-month return to base coverage from the date of arrival. 

Our technician will provide support (simply contact us). If the initial remote diagnostics shows the need, we may request for you to get the item to us for servicing (within 30 days, repair/replace, or refund available); after the initial 30 days, a refund will only be arranged if repair or replacement is not possible. After the initial 30 days, the onus of the postage cost is with the buyer.

  • During the service, we cannot be held responsible for any data loss that may occur, as we may be required to reinstall the Operating System (which will erase previous data). We are unable to offer data recovery. As a good practice, we advise our customers to regularly back up their data. 
  • This does not apply to cosmetic wear due to use, nor existing issue(s) already noted in the original listing, nor does it cover any consumable part (e.g. the battery). During the service, if damage due to misuse is found, e.g. liquid / drops, cracked glass, etc, then the cover will be voided (set out fully in the "additional return policy details" below)
  • Our 3-month RTB cover, is separate to any remaining manufacturer's warranty. To be clear, any remaining manufacturer's warranty is not considered a part of this listing's offer, and should be considered as bonus only, should you aim to use it; we stand by our own RTB limited hardware cover only, as a part of this listing.

    Secondly, the Grading Shortcut (A / B+ / B / C) is available:


    This feature was added to help narrowing down the relevant products more easily. It is a single score grade, that confirms that the product meets a minimal standards (across: the screen,the inside casing, the outside casing & the amount of battery % remaining). The area which receives the lowest grading, then becomes the overall grading. For instance, if the screen is a Grade B, but for all other 3 areas are Grade A, it would be marketed as a Grade B laptop.


        What the Grading Shortcut (A / B+ / B / C) means:

        Grade A:

        This is best described as 'Like-new'. This means that the laptop is almost new or open-box. The laptop may have very small wears and/or marks, however these must be very limited or almost unnoticeable.

        Grade B+

        This is a laptop with a very good condition screen. It may have some wear on the keypad, bezel or trackpad and could have some visible wear on the exterior such as the lid or base. Tests on the battery will show over 60% of the battery charge available.

        Grade B 

        This describes a laptop with a good condition screen, with faint pressure marks, surface marks and up to 2 stuck pixels. It may have some wear on the keypad, bezel or trackpad and could have some visible wear on the exterior such as the lid or base. Tests on the battery will show over 60% of the battery charge available.

        Grade C 

        This is used to describe any laptop with a screen that could be described as in a functional condition (visible pressure marks & surface marks, over 2 stuck pixels). There could be heavy wear on the keyboard, trackpad or palmrest and there may be heavy wear and small marks on the exterior such as the lid or base. Tests on the battery will show over 60% of the battery charge available.

        • The Grading Shortcut is there to makes the initially narrowing down search easier. It's minimum standard focused.
        • The photos & detailed description will typically give you a better / fuller sense of the actual condition, once you've narrowed down the search. Many of our customers really enjoy this, as it gives them a closer sense of the product itself.
        Warranty & Repairs:

        All items include a 3 month Return to Base warranty by us (unlessotherwise stated on the listing), this begins on the date of arrival.

        We stand by our in-house warranty period

        The in-house warranty provided by SMT Commerce Ltd (Trading asGreenGreenStore) shall not apply, regardless of whether the Product isin-warranty, or out of warranty, in the following situations:

        •  TheProduct is damaged by accident, abuse, catastrophe, improper use(including failure to heed instructions or warnings), impropermaintenance, inadequate packaging, neglect, misuse, operator error. Ifyou require accidental coverage, please consider liaise with a 3rd partyinsurance provider.
        • Normal wear and tear, including withoutlimitation, to a Product or Product accessory or part that is consumableor expendable. Both the charger & the battery shall have 30 dayswarranty with us only.
        • Damage to or loss of any data, program, orremovable storage media; we suggest for our customers to frequentlybackup their data externally & on the cloud.
        • The Product isdamaged due to alterations, changes, modifications, repair, or otherservices performed by a third party that is not authorized by SMTCommerce Ltd.
        • The Product is damaged by external causes, includingbut not limited to, corrosion, falls, environmental factors (includingtemperature and humidity), power failure, faulty power supply, airconditioning, operator, data communications system failure ormalfunction.
        • Loss of your item after the delivery (we suggestreviewing home insurance or personal insurance products to ensureadaquate coverage).
        • Hardware or software incompatibility issue(s). Wecan optionally assist with basic Windows troubleshootings, however wedo not currently provide software specific support, we suggestcontacting the vendor of softwares to confirm compatibility (or checkingthe said app's minimum hardware requirements) before purchasing thelaptops.
        • Installation, relocation, or removal of Product or any accessories, apparatus, attachments or other devices;
        • Productaccessory, apparatus, attachment, or devices that are not originallybundled with the Product, or is not provided by SMT Commerce Ltd;
        • Product that is not purchased from the GreenGreenStore Online Store.

        Are the prices on the website inclusive VAT, or exclusive of VAT?

        The price we quote on the website are inclusive of VAT, so there is no additional VAT charge to worry about.

         

        Can I claim back the VAT on purchases on the GreenGreen Store?

        1. If you're eligible to claim-back the UK VAT normally (e.g. you're a VAT registered company or a similar entity), then you should be able to reclaim the VAT, if the item is sold as "Standard VAT" (as in it includes the 20% VAT). Some of the items on the GreenGreen Store is sold on the Standard VAT.

        2. If a product, however, is sold on the VAT Margin Scheme, then you cannot claim the VAT back (the VAT is included in the price, but cannot be separately displayed).

        3. If you're a private individual, this does not affect you. The price you see is the price you pay.

          If you’re a consumer, then it doesn’t affect you at all. The price you see is the price you pay.

          If you're a VAT registered businesses (or other such organisation that could normally claim back the VAT on eligible purchases), then you will not be able to claim back the VAT on the goods sold on the VAT margin scheme.

           

          I'm buying for business, does it make sense to buy on VAT Margin?

          This depends on the item. You may sometimes find it more economical to buy the same product on the Standard VAT Scheme. That said, our product's pricing are benchmarked regularly (so it often could still makes sense to buy, even if it's on the VAT Margin Scheme, where you cannot reclaim the VAT).
